Pulau Ketam [6]

On the way back, we visited a fish farm, courtesy of the boat (though I suspect we're being charged more for the tickets for that).

Bicycles aren't the only form of transportation people can chuck aside....

Pulau Ketam [4]

Trash is everywhere. This wheel-less bicycle, for instance, was stuck between wooden planks

Pulau Ketam [3]

As for the island... what can I say? It's only got one main road :P

That aside, it's just a really, really filthy tourist trap. I wonder why my primary school textbook chose to dedicate an entire chapter to it. Maybe they didn't find out about Redang yet.

Pulau Ketam [2]

The waves didn't look like much at first, but after adjusting the color and white balance, I ended up with a stunning picture. Moral of the story: never throw away your pictures before you toy with them.

Pulau Ketam [1]

Decided to go on a spontaneous trip to Pulau Ketam on Sunday. Actually, it wasn't that spontaneous: Derrick and I have been toying with the idea of going to the place for a while. As you can see, it was a beautiful sunny day.

Unfortunately the ticketing woman was more than a little crazy.

Taken at an unknown waterfall near Maran, Pahang. It's in a forest reserve, which you have to drive offroad through a rubber estate and some logging tracks to get to.

I took a few pictures of the waterfall but I like this one the most because the shutter is sufficiently slow that water shows movement, but yet isn't one of those blur waterfall pictures you get so often.

The money shot

So I've decided to go back to the same temple for Wesak. Man, I forgot how hard the crowd makes for taking pictures, but still managed to get this.

And the Webbys go to....

Another pic I took in Ta Phrom, but it could've been anywhere else, really. At first I wanted to take a picture of the beams of light coming through the crack, but it wasn't dark enough indoors. It was then that I noticed the web gleaming in the sun.
